Joanie Andras on Mindfulness and the Seven Principles of UU (Zoom only)

Joanie Andras is a Buddhist nun, a certified teacher of mindfulness and a member of our Fellowship. She’ll offer valuable coaching on how to incorporate mindfulness and the Seven Principles of Unitarianism into our daily lives. Please note, due to a special private event at Grace Fellowship Hall, this service will be available only on Zoom, live at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 16.

Here’s the link for the live Zoom service this Sunday. We also post recordings of our services, later, on our YouTube channel.

Joanie is a sought-after teacher of mindfulness. She has studied Buddhist meditation, philosophy, and psychology since 1984, and she was ordained as a Buddhist nun in 2005. She also earned a doctorate in psychology in 1993, focusing on the psychology of meditation.

We’ll return to live, in-person services from Grace Fellowship Hall on Sunday, May 23, when John Kamisky and former UUFC member Barry White will talk about The Mountain, the UU retreat center in North Carolina.

We originally scheduled our return to live services for June 6, but…well…circumstances change. Check this website for the latest information. In Grace Fellowship Hall we’ll require masks and strict social distancing, and we’ll limit the number of people who can attend a service.

But again, this service only will be available live on Zoom and later recorded on YouTube.
