Building Community Through Art, Memory, and Place – Kaitlynn Etheridge

Kaitlynn Etheridge is a Southern folk artist, poet, curator, and community organizer based in Columbus, Georgia. She serves as the director of Columbus Collective Museums, a nonprofit museum campus that brings together multiple small, immersive museums celebrating Southern history, folk art, everyday Americana, and regional storytelling. Her work centers on preservation, creativity, and making culture accessible, joyful, and community-driven.

Through exhibitions, festivals, educational programming, and community partnerships, Kaitlynn works to uplift local artists, preserve overlooked histories, and create welcoming spaces where art, memory, and place intersect. Her approach blends storytelling, found objects, and lived experience, with a deep belief in museums as places of connection, healing, and shared humanity.

At the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Columbus, GA, we are a liberal religion—not because of politics, but because of openness. Because we draw wisdom from many sources. Because we believe revelation is not sealed. Because we welcome questions, stories, and truths from every path. Join us for Sunday programs at 11:00 AM Eastern, come early to enjoy coffee, cookies and conversation!
