Announcements for the week of January 4-10

This week we’ll begin the first of eight beginners yoga classes, at 1:30 p.m. On Sunday, the Rev. Howard, a Unitarian Universalist from Valdosta, Ga., will speak.

Wednesday 12/30 – UU Singers will practice at 6:00, but Wednesday Night Discussion Group will not meet.

10:40 Sunday Service: In Defense of My Generation, presented by David Smith, Columbus High School Senior.
Today is also the day to bring non-perishable food for our monthly contribution to Feed the Valley Food Bank.

Merry Christmas! (Plus announcements for the week of Dec. 21-27)

We celebrate Christmas this week with family and friends, recognizing the important contributions to the holiday made by Unitarian Universalists, to wit: Jingle Bells, A Christmas Carole, etc. Next Sunday’s program features a talk by John Land on the separation of church and state.

Weekly activities for Dec. 14-20, including UU and Christmas

On Sunday, Dec. 20, our UU Singers will present “Go Tell it on the Mountain: the UU Story of Christmas.” In song and story, with help from Stephen Nissenbaum’s “The Battle for Christmas,” they’ll explain out Unitarians and Universalists helped shape the way we celebrate Christmas today.
