Ron Ussery: “If I Were A Rich Man”

Many of us have speculated about this idea from “Fidler on the Roof,” but how deeply have we thought about it? Are we already rich and just don’t acknowledge it? Join us on this Sunday for a deeper dive into the truth about our own wealth. We welcome visitors.

Treasurer Ron Ussery keeps tabs on our Fellowship’s finances. We’re in good shape. Maybe even better than we think!

Ron Ussery’s career has included teaching, journalism, public relations, personnel management, retirement planning and banking. He’s also our Fellowship’s treasurer. Though officially “retired,” Ron and his wife, Connie, continue to live busy lives that include volunteering for our Fellowship and pursuing wide-ranging interests.

Our Fellowship doesn’t have a minister. (Yet!) Instead, Sunday services are led by volunteers (like Ron). Each service is centered on a talk, either by a member of the Fellowship (again, like Ron!) or they are guests from the community and beyond.

Services focus on the Seven Principles of Unitarianism. Services include music, a short meditation, a reading or two, and opportunities (always optional) to share what’s going on in your life and to comment on the ideas we explore.

We draw inspiration from most of the world’s great religions and ethical systems. Our members subscribe to many creeds, but, in general, we emphasize deeds over creeds.

It all happens in less than an hour, beginning at 11 a.m. every Sunday.

Our Pandemic Safety Measures

  • Masks are required for all our indoor events.
  • All our members and friends have been vaccinated for COVID-19.
  • Seating has been changed to make social distancing easier.
  • We do have music, but we don’t sing together.
  • Visitors and guests are welcome, but please follow our pandemic guidelines.
