Rev. Marti Keller – “Relighting Candles”

Rev. Marti Keller

Rev. Marti Keller, our visiting Unitarian Universalist minister, presents; “Relighting Candles.” The last day of Hanukkah begins at sunset on this night, often called “The Holiday of Lights.” Despite its complex and somewhat troubling place in Jewish history, it can always be celebrated as the holiday of freedom. A look at this month of holy days and secular celebrations – and four freedoms that might underly them.

Rev. Marti Keller lives in the Atlanta area. She’s been a Unitarian Universalist minister for more than 25 years, serving individual congregations, as a guest minister and in leadership roles with the Unitarian Universalist Association. She’s also an essayist, a poet and an activist for human rights.

At the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Columbus, GA, we are a liberal religion—not because of politics, but because of openness. Because we draw wisdom from many sources. Because we believe revelation is not sealed. Because we welcome questions, stories, and truths from every path. Join us for Sunday programs at 11:00 AM Eastern, come early to enjoy coffee, cookies and conversation!
