Guest speaker Isaac Faver teaches Culinary Arts at CSU and has a heart for helping young people build skills that feed both their bodies and their futures. He’s worked with several programs that serve our community, including Empowered Youth of Columbus, Foster You, Activ8, and Medically Tailored Meals initiatives.
Sunday services begin at 11 a.m., but join us early for coffee and conversation. Some of us are liberal. Some of us are progressive. Some of us are both. (And some might say “neither,” but that’s UU for you.) We’re all friendly, and we welcome visitors.
Isaac Faver uses his experience in Culinary Arts and Business to create classes that are hands-on, welcoming, and rooted in real-life skills. Whether it’s learning how to prepare healthy meals on a budget, mastering kitchen safety, or simply discovering the joy of cooking, his goal is to make the kitchen a space where students feel capable, creative, and empowered.
“I believe food has the power to heal, connect, and inspire; and I’m passionate about using it as a tool to support growth, confidence, and independence in every young person I work with.”
Our services also include music, readings, and more, and we’re done by noon.
