Fanny Barrier Williams, A Black Feminist Unitarian

Join us in a viewing of the past presentation “Black Feminist Fire The Boundary Breaking Life of Fannie Barrier Williams,” by Rev. Tim Kutzmark of Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno.

Fannie Barrier Williams (1855 – 1944) was a pioneering African American educator, civil rights advocate, women’s rights activist, and influential public intellectual whose work helped shape the landscape of racial and gender justice in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

At the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Columbus, GA, we are a liberal religion—not because of politics, but because of openness. Because we draw wisdom from many sources. Because we believe revelation is not sealed. Because we welcome questions, stories, and truths from every path. Join us for Sunday programs at 11:00 AM Eastern, come early to enjoy coffee, cookies and conversation!
