Danielle Hoapili, originally from Hawaiʻi, has lived in Columbus, Georgia twice due to her husband’s service as an active-duty soldier. She graduated from Columbus State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, with a focus on Public Relations.
During her undergraduate studies, Danielle volunteered with Feeding the Valley Food Bank under the development manager, where she discovered her passion for nonprofit work and community engagement. She also gained experience in media through an internship at WRBL. Separately, she worked as a social media coordinator for Gary Bruce, further strengthening her skills in communications and digital engagement.
Danielle later worked in education as a teacher, where she developed strong skills in leadership, organization, and community connection. She has since returned to the nonprofit sector and currently serves as the Community Engagement Manager for House of Heroes Chattahoochee Valley. In this role, she focuses on building partnerships within the community and connecting volunteers with veterans in need of home repairs.
Her passion for serving veterans runs deep, inspired by her personal connection to the military community through her husband’s active-duty service. Danielle is committed to ensuring that every veteran feels supported, valued, and honored through the work she does each day.
