Kristin Andris is Social Studies Department Chair and a teacher at Veterans Memorial Middle School. Before becoming an educator, she spent a decade in marketing and communications, including work with nonprofit organizations and the Georgia House of Representatives.

Today, Kristin is the founder and president of Living Mosaic Collective, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to transforming scraps into something new through creative reuse, gardening, art, and education. She also helped launch a network of Free Little Pantries through Indivisible to strengthen mutual aid in the community.

Kristin holds degrees in political science, journalism, and secondary history education. She is endlessly fascinated by compost and the way nature transforms what appears to be waste into new life. She believes the same principles that sustain healthy ecosystems can also help build stronger, more connected communities.
