Arlena Williams, PHD – “Enrichment Services Program, Inc.”

Dr. Arlena Williams serves as the Director of Community Services at Enrichment Services Program, Inc., where she leads programs dedicated to fighting poverty, strengthening families, and helping individuals move toward self‑sufficiency. Born and raised in Ellisville, Mississippi, she moved to Columbus, Georgia in 2005 to pursue her education at Columbus State University and has devoted her career to serving the community ever since.

At ESP, Dr. Williams oversees a wide range of supports including housing and energy assistance, youth and family programs, transportation services, and community outreach initiatives, all designed to restore hope and dignity during life’s most challenging seasons. What she loves most about this work is meeting people where they are, offering resources, compassion, and a listening ear.

In addition to her leadership at ESP, Dr. Williams is also an adjunct instructor and mentor, guiding students who are preparing to make a difference in their own communities. Her work is grounded in a simple but powerful belief: every person deserves compassion, dignity, and the opportunity to thrive.

At the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Columbus, GA, we are a liberal religion—not because of politics, but because of openness. Because we draw wisdom from many sources. Because we believe revelation is not sealed. Because we welcome questions, stories, and truths from every path. Join us for Sunday programs at 11:00 AM Eastern, come early to enjoy coffee, cookies and conversation!
