The Flower Ceremony is a warm Unitarian Universalist tradition embraces community, diversity, and shared beauty. It was created in 1923 by Rev. Norbert Capek and Rev. Maja Capek, Czech Unitarian ministers, as a way to honor the uniqueness of every person and the sacredness of community.

EVERYONE, please bring a flower of any kind – from a garden, grocery store, field or made of paper.

All flowers will be gathered into a shared vase.

At the end of the ceremony, everyone will receive a flower that someone else contributed.
