This Sunday: “Constitutional Origins of the Second Amendment”

Guest speaker Dr. Lloyd Sampson will explore our constitutional rightright to bear arms and how“Constitutional Origins of the Second Amendment”

Dr. Sampson believes the Second Amendment has been “grossly abused.” He’s physician who practiced dermatology here and in Berkeley, Calif., before retiring in 2008. Since then he has given history talks for CALL in Columbus. He and his wife, Gloria, teach ballroom dance at the downtown YMCA, and he’s also a distance runner and triathlete who has been nationally ranked.

Children’s Religious Education will not meet again until after Labor Day, but childcare is still available Sunday from 9:15 a.m. until noon. Here’s the rest of the Sunday schedule:

9:15 a.m. Adult Religious Education: This week, “ Why Do Some Regard UU as a Cult?” 

10:15 a.m. Coffee and conversation before the service.

10:45 a.m. The Sunday Service. Our services are centered on a talk, often with a guest speaker like Dr. Sampson. Services also include a little music and meditation, explorations of our Seven Principles and more. Service last an hour or less.
