            WELCOME LETTER

Welcome to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Columbus!

I am pleased that you have chosen to worship with us.  We are an inclusive religion and we strive for theological diversity.  We have been designated a Welcoming Congregation by the Unitarian Universalist Association.  This means that we welcome the LBGT community, and affirm their inherent worth and dignity as we do for all people. The Unitarian Universalist faith has a rich history.  A pamphlet entitled “Unitarian Universalist Origins: Our Historic Faith”, which is included with this packet, outlines the historical underpinnings of this liberal faith tradition.

We seek an ethical and moral life through studying and applying the teachings of several faith traditions.  These traditions include teachings from the Jewish, Christian, Humanist and Earth-centered faiths.  Even if your journey has led you to atheism or agnosticism, those beliefs will be honored.  We hope that you find this place of worship to be warm, friendly and supportive of your individual beliefs. I hope that you will visit often and if you are looking for a church that is based on reason, tolerance, and freedom that you would consider joining.

If you have any questions about the Fellowship, my e-mail address is lee.paul19@knology.net and my phone number is 706-315-0568.

            Sincerely,
            Paul Lee
            President
